Literal
These ask the readers to find the answers in the text. eg. Who is this? What did he do? How many were there?
Interpretative
These ask readers to provide answers that need to be thought about or an opinion given eg. Why is that happening? How will she get down? What will he do next? Why did he do that?
Evaluative
These ask readers to provide answers that involve a critical or creative response or link meaning to personal experiences and then evaluate or make a judgement about the text. Eg. What did you learn form this story? What would be another ending that would be good for the giant?
